Peepers
our best friend's dog, the ultra fashionable Peepers Saint Marie. Buddy's not much into big dogs, but by default, she is his best friend. Peepers also goes by Mimi, Murray, Tommy Raisins, and Jimmy (this is why Buddy is sometimes known as Tiny Tommy and Little Jimmy - here's a photo of them side by side.)

Howard Stern's limo is being sold on Ebay by his chauffer "Ronnie the Limo Driver" with a $125,000 reserve. the Ebay ad says... "The fully loaded 2004 Cadillac Escalade stretch limousine has been put up for auction because it’s time for Howard to move on to another vehicle."

we sensed this wasn't the whole story so we searched Howard Stern's site and found the real dirt on why the limo is being sold... excerps from arguments about the limo from the site...

Howard said he really doesn't like the limo Ronnie got him... he should have never trusted Ronnie's taste... Howard hates how big the car is and how high off the ground it is... the seat in the back he uses is so uncomfortable. He said it's small and it's like a hard bench seat which he keeps sliding off. He was trying to read the paper and eventually just sat on the floor of the car because it was more comfortable. He said the worst part about the car is getting in and getting out of it. Howard said he has to sit on his ass and scoot his way out, which is really annoying.

Courtney and the Bean
the best part of the Idol finale was seeing Courtney and Francis Bean attending. during Courtney's wild days it seemed all Francis wanted was to get her mommy back. it's nice to see them together and happy.

Update: Josef sent us this from MTV...

"I'm rooting for Bo. I like his style, I like his vibe and I like that he rocks," Frances Bean Cobain, daughter of late Nirvana singer Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love, said outside the Kodak Theatre with her mother at her side. "I've never watched it," Love said. "The word 'mainstream' comes to mind."

JukeBoxGraduate turned us on to U2log.com and an interesting post that has the story on U2 filming in our neighborhood last week...

U2 were in New York City's lower east side Thursday afternoon at a small club called The Slipper Room to film a video for "Tower of Song" with its songwriter, Leonard Cohen. The legendary poet/songwriter from Montreal arrived fashionably late to the video shoot with Larry Mullen and Paul McGuinness. The footage will be included in a documentary on Cohen, directed by Lian Lunson.

the saga of Tom and Katie's public love affair takes an even stranger turn as Tom Cruise hits Oprah today and puts on a bizarre display leaping from his chair, punching the air and falling to one knee to prove his love...

talk about over exposure. thousands of photos from their trip to Italy, kissing in public at every chance, press releases, and now Oprah (with more awkward Tom & Katie teeth gnashing.) why all the public demonstration? it's so showy and staged looking.
