Seal Hunt Protest tomorrow at Prada and Louis Vuitton
from Caring Activists Against Fur:
As you have probably heard, the barbaric Canadian seal hunt started this week. During this sickening event, more than 300,000 baby seals, some as young as 12 days old, will be brutally killed.

Prada and Louis Vuitton are two designers who use seal fur and skin in their collections in Europe, thus helping to create a market for the seal fur industry. We will demonstrate in front of the Prada and Louis Vuitton stores to show our outrage at their use of seal fur as well as the fur of other innocent animals.

Please turn out and help us get maximum attention from the press and the public. Participants are encouraged (but not required) to create their own signs and posters. Here are the details:
Event: Seal Hunt Protest
Date: Saturday, April 9, 2005
Time: 3:30 to 5 p.m.
Location: Prada store at 724 5th Avenue (between East 57th and East 56th Streets). We will meet at Prada, then half of us will go to Louis Vuitton diagonally across the way at 1 East 57th Street, at the corner of 5th Avenue.

another IMPORTANT PROTEST: Don't Shoot the Cat
in Wisconsin they are attempting this week to pass a bill that would allow cats to be shot by people. in this bill they want to define feral, free-roaming cats as unprotected. meaning domestic kitties wandering around without collars could be shot as wild game. it's archaic and horrifying, read more here: Proposal Would Allow Killing of Wild Cats.

before the vote Monday 4/11, PLEASE sign the petition and go to this page take action to help defeat this proposal! (thanks for the info Enrevanche)
